President and Creative Director
With more than 30 years experience in design, marketing, publishing, software development, training, documentation and technology systems for design and publishing, Eric Shropshire has worked continuously as a designer, art director and integrator of computer systems and software for the design and publishing industries. As Product Manager for future technologies at Quark, Inc., Eric managed a team developing QuarkXPress and other applications. He was a senior technology consultant in the Book Group at R. R. Donnelley & Sons in Chicago where he helped customers manage their design and production workflow and troubleshoot problems. For six years Eric was Director of Technology/Associate Art Director for the Publishing Group at Playboy Enterprises Inc. where he was responsible for designing non-fiction articles for Playboy magazine and for integrating desktop publishing, pre-press and multi-media technology for the design and production of Playboy publishing products. Eric was the leader of Playboy’s pioneering implementation of these new technologies, one of the first major magazines to make this leap. A practicing graphic designer and technology systems designer and integrator, Eric is a respected member of both the design and publishing technology communities, speaking at major conferences and continually pursuing publishing technology solutions for artists, designers and publishers.

Tina DeJarld has been involved in design and publishing technology since the early days of the entry of the personal computer into the field. Her background includes pre-press, print production, page layout and production management. For 10 years she was technology manager at InfoComm, one of the premier pre-press service bureaus in Chicago, reviewing and implementing the ever-changing array of hardware, software and production systems, training staff and managing the production workflow. Her savvy problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities combined with her expert knowledge of hardware and software for design, printing and publishing has earned her the title of “the answer lady” from her customers and employers. Tina also excels at layout production, incorporating productivity techniques that most users overlook—she’s fast! Tina holds a bachelor’s degree in Fine Art from the Art Institute of Chicago.
